I just got back from Blues on the Green at Zilker Park in Austin, Texas. Blues on the Green is a series of free live concerts through-out the summer at Zilker Park. Tonight was the last concert of the summer featuring Los Lonely Boys. I had a great time. It was one of the better live concerts I have been to mainly because they played for the perfect amount of time. For a lot of live concerts, my back starts hurting by the end either from standing in one place (packed in like sardines) or sitting on the ground without back support (also my legs fall asleep) so I get antsy. It probably helped that I got up to get Salt Lick BBQ (sausage wrap = delicious) and to get Amy’s Ice Cream (oreo = uber-delicious) so I got to stretch my legs. I also had great company including Addison, Marissa’s well behaved dog.
One thing that detracted from the concert were the smokers. I hate when people smoke in crowds especially when there are kids around. I also some smokers putting out their cigarettes on the ground and left them there. I don’t understand why they can’t throw out the butts.
